Why Choose Plastic Collapsible Crates?

Plastic collapsible crates offer robust, reusable solutions that significantly reduce transport and storage volumes when folded. Unlike rigid boxes, our collapsible storage boxes can fold flat, enabling cost-effective return journeys and efficient warehouse management. Built from durable polypropylene (PP), they're food-safe, easy to clean, and long-lasting.

Are Your Collapsible Storage Boxes Stackable?

Yes—our stackable storage crates securely stack when unfolded, making them ideal for optimising vertical storage space. When folded, these plastic stacking crates nest compactly, minimising warehouse space requirements and reducing shipping expenses. Ideal for both static storage and dynamic transport, our crates enhance operational efficiency across industries.

How much space do foldable crates actually save?

Between 72% and 81% of their erected height, measured on our own published dimensions. The Medium crate stands 180 mm in use and folds to 35 mm, an 81% reduction. The Small folds 155 mm to 35 mm, 77%. The Large folds 235 mm to 50 mm, 79%. The Compact folds 180 mm to 50 mm, 72%.

What that means in practice: a stillage of empty Medium crates holds roughly five times as many folded as erected, and a returning vehicle carries the same multiple. The saving only materialises in closed-loop operations, where crates go out full and come back empty. If your crates stay loaded on a shelf and rarely travel empty, a rigid stack-and-nest container is cheaper and stronger, and the folding mechanism earns nothing.

Note the difference between the two load ratings. Static load, 140 to 300 kg, is what the crate bears stacked and standing still. Dynamic load, 9 to 25 kg, is what it carries while being moved. Dynamic is the figure to specify against for a live handling operation, and on folding crates the gap between the two is much wider than on rigid containers.
